You're stage 1, hunter team has 0 strikes. The key is to compare what you have as the monster and what the hunters have. The key is to work your way up to stage 3 while getting, if possible, multiple strikes on the hunter team, especially on key targets like medic and support. Now it's not about "reaching stage 3" but about "how you reach stage 3".

They buffed the monster at stage 1 and nerfed it at stage 3. In Evolve Stage 2 fighting as monster at stage 1 is instead not completely negative. The goal is to fight and kill eachother.įrom what I've heard, stage 1 monsters were incredibly weak in Legacy Evolve, therefore their only possible strategy was to run and hide till later stages or else they would lose. They are just tools to engage both sides, not the actual goals. I honestly don't know why the monster can be stopped from destroying the relayīecause the relay and the timer are game mechanics forcing monsters and hunters actually fight. Hard to catch without the trapper, hard to fight without some1 else. Game is "balanced" around the 4v1 hunter fights. If the hunters are smart at least one person will be behind to stop the monster ATM other buffs are way stronger in losing scenarios, since the round has a short timer. If he's wining he doesn't need it, if he's losing he's still gonna lose.
#EVOLVE STAGE 2 MONSTERS FULL#
I honestly don't know why the monster can be stopped from destroying the relay, if he wants to have a last ditch effort to destroy the relay then why shouldnt he? The damage reduction on the relay from 4 hunters is very high and a full team laying into the monster for an extended period means he can't destroy the relay without dying. There's no give and take like the rest of the game. Theres no more hunting, monster abilities can't hurt the relay so the monster must kill the hunters.
#EVOLVE STAGE 2 MONSTERS PLUS#
Plus having the hunters simply camp the relay is non interactive and cheesy. If the hunters are smart at least one person will be behind to stop the monster, the damage reduction from having hunters nearby makes the relay all but unkillable. That's a very non interactive and cheesy tactic In a balanced state the buff wouldn't be too far away from the relay, maybe mid map so both have a fair chance of getting it.Įxcept if they go after you far away, you can rush straight for the relay and start banging on it. Plus from what I have been told the regen was rather slow, in this new evolve the monster going to run the risk of having time run out before he can get the full affect. If the monster is winning then he won't need the health regen. Tl dr I'm salty because the monsters don't feel powerful anymore (in anywhere near the same capacity as they used to) That brings me another thing the tyrant's buff was essentially required if you messed up in a stage 2/3 fight in Legacy, now that its gone you might aswell leave or sit at the relay and let them kill you, since there isnt any way back when you are sitting at 3 bars of hp against one of many Hunter teams while they sit at full hp with a not insignificant passive health regen. There isn't anything you can do against these comps other than hope they do something completly moronic like die from a plant or piss of the tyran oh I forgot.

Or the what I call "you're not going anywhere combination" of Caira, Sunny and Griffin/E Griffin throw in a Torvald and you will be taking constant damage as you try and "escape". Throw in E Griffin or Maggie and you won't even get a hit in on anyone ,even at stage 3. You get the massive damage off the Cabot, B Markov combo and tough luck getting any damage in on them from Pa Pa's burst heal. In Legacy you were punished hard for letting the monster get to stage 3, but now with a scarily large number of combinations of hunters they will always be a bigger threat to you than you being a threat to them. With the recent addition of Paladin Parnell I have been noticing just how weak the stage 3 monsters are now compared to both Legacy and the Hunters.
